The Cogs Of Thoughts

When you gaze into the glass,
Is my visage what you see?
Carved in the frost of your thoughts,
Can you feel my stare,
Seeping through your frozen core?
Though I’m fierce, a tempest wild,
Self-loathing, yet beguiled,
You can’t extinguish me, for we’re a rare breed, entwined.
It’s a twisted tale,
But you must confess,
If I am the shadow,
Then you are the blaze.
They label me a pariah,
Yet deep down, you spy it—
Our bond, so cryptic,
Reflect in the mirror, the hues of despair.
Together we’ll unveil it, you and I,
No order without chaos,
This realm is ablaze, breaking free,
Diving deep in my revolt, to our shared dread.
You birthed my corrosive chaos,
You sculpted this wicked fate,
A lunatic unleashed by the artistry of doubt,
Now behold the creature that you’ve bred
When dawn breaks, drenched in perspiration
Do you hear my murmurs?
Do they stalk you through the night?
Do you sense the echoes of doubt unmasked?
Do you lie awake as the cogs of fate grind?
Though I’m relentless, a villain’s plight,
You cannot erase me, for that would spell your demise
Together we’ll unveil it, you and I,
No solace without upheaval,
This city’s ablaze, breaking free,
Drowning in my self-destruction.
